Important info on Boise Games

I'm putting out a broadcast message to all heavy athletes coming to Boise Sept 18th. I was given tickets tonight that will be required for each pre-registered athlete to have in hand to get in the gate. No ticket and you pay the gate fee. Please please please pre-register (form is on the SAAA Idaho website) so I can mail your ticket to you. As always, only the competitor gets in free with the pre-registration. There are a few days left until the pre-reg cutoff so get em in quick to save your $10 gate fee and be sure I can read the address to mail them to. See you on the 18th (or 17th for the ceilidh).
Throw big or go home!!
Weekend of August 28th

The Hamilton Montana games this last weekend was amazing. Eric Campbell was a wonderful host. Eric and the people of Montana were excited to have us, and we held a great throw. The Daily Mansion is a beautiful backdrop for the festival, and we felt right at home there. With help from SAAA Idaho, Montana will soon have some great games and some talented athletes in the years to come. If you were unable to attend Hamilton this year, make sure to mark it on your calendar for next year. You will not regret it.
Sun Valley Heavy Events and Youth Challenge

SAAA Idaho would like to thank everyone who made the Sun Valley Heavy Events and Youth Challenge such a huge success.

We had a very good turnout of both adult competitors and youth for our first effort at establishing a highland games for the Sun Valley/Ketchum area.

Our quartermasters corps really stepped up and smacked a home run for this project. Also a great job was done by Guess When in executing the pub crawls
and game day entertainment. SAAA can expect a great future with our friends and sponsors from the Sun Valley/Ketchum Chamber group.

Once again, on behalf of SAAA Idaho and the national board, thank you to all the competitors, judges, and volunteers who made this happen.
